To be perfectly honest, I was darn down recently, due to self-disappointment and sorts, regarding myself as an optimist, I refused to blog to avoid polluting the blog with negative things, but I just came to thoughts, it’s not really necessary.
I believe in my friends, appearing not so up as before doesn’t mean I’m down, I believe they would not look down on me, they would in fact be the source of rejuvenation I need!
How foolish of me right? Friends, I will not act strong in front of you guys, I am but a human, despite my thoughts being slightly more optimistic, it doesn’t deny me myself of a reason why I shouldn’t open up myself to you guys!
My problems beside, and now I’m really fine and good, I like to quote this famous person I always look up to. He was a great American, but too bad in the older days so we might not really have a deep impact of him.
Abraham Lincoln.
He failed and failed,
He had little formal schooling,
Failed twice at business.
Got into trouble at early age due to his very frank attitude.
He suffered loss of defeat at positions for speaker, senate, legislature, congress.
He had an insane wife.
Only one of his four children survived to adulthood.
He could have more difficulties but that’s all I can gather from the net. It’s not really about the failures because soon after that, he rose to become
For me I know that I may not have been able to suffer so many setbacks, friends I’m not sure if those would impact you real hard. If you had to lose face in front of your closest friends, would you be able to stand in front of them the very next day appearing normal, and, and continue to “accept the image of being a fool” ?
General Collin Powell was one such person. He was the first black major general and he went beyond that rank. For your information, a major general is damn big, and
He rose so high, but what was his disadvantage? He was a black, and he thrived in a time where blacks were so highly disregarded and despised, yet he never did give up and he never gave in. all he had to equip against these prejudices were his parent’s teaching, to be the best in whatever he did and give him his best. That was all.
It doesn’t take a lot to change a person; it doesn’t take a lot of logic to change your success in life. All it takes is just one idea you can accept and do, and it will be the central basis of your life and direction in life.
For me I won’t deny, it’s not easy, I’ve gotten so depressed at times at how I keep reverting to who I used to be before but I’ve made some headway.
For me all that idea was, to want to help others succeed.
I figured out I couldn’t unless I succeeded first, so here I am, doing things beyond what I would normally do, but how about you? What is your one idea you would accept? When would it come?
