Lucky

It hurts me to see myself how sometimes I am so lucky but I do not realize it.

I complain about the things I do not have and forget about those I do have.

Nothing in the world is fair. No one is born with the same starting resources.

Some have more; some have less, some with more unique resources.

Some endowed with physical strength, become athletes to entertain the rest of us in their races and competition. Others may have musical talent and pleasure us through their melodious music. Some may be great scholars who go on to invent things for the benefit of mankind. All have contributed to mankind, but in different ways.

Imagine the world being fair as it is, giving everyone the talent in music and nothing else.

A world of great sounds but a world of famine will be the result.

It is thus important that we treasure what we have and see what we can do with it, and not whine about what we cannot do without.

For that matter, my parents are the most supportive than I’ve ever thought. I complain about them, but I’ve just come to see light about what they’ve done for me. It gives me some pressure about those times I’ve actually let them down.

Treasure what you have and show appreciation of what you’ve been given.
