Oh my god. I feel mighty indeed.
I had one sub-goal I recently set; that is to avoid fillers; in other words, the um and ahhs you make unintentionally through the thinking process because you’re not comfortable with the silence. It was so not easy and I think I’m almost done getting over it. Yahoo~~! Today I gave a superb speech in front of my friends. I learnt something;
A speaker needs an audience and
where other better place to get one through networking?
No wonder there is this focus for me to become a manager first.
Everyday is great. Since I’m at it, I might as well put a part of it in the blog and share with all my dear friends.
I have a story to share, which is the story of the 3 mice.
The world experienced a natural calamity, and tsunami had come. The water levels rose drastically, and 3 mice were forced up the roof of their house.
One mouse was called Sponge; he was always so like a sponge, whenever life exerted a bit of pressure on him and he experienced abit of difficulty, he would imagine nothing had happened, tolerate it and do nothing about it.
Another mouse was called Spring; he was indeed like his name. Whenever life exerted a pressure on him, he would always be so ready to react. When difficulties in life came about, he would push the blame to others, and blame them for every single fault, leaving himself as a victim and unblamed.
The last mouse was a different mouse; he was a highly successful mouse. He was called Drain. No matter what problems, he would be able to channel the problems into becoming an opportunity to him as if channeling a flood into a dam to generate electricity.
The water level was high and Sponge started to pray to god. GOD, I’ve been a faithful follower to you and at every service, I was the one with the most passion, praising you the loudest and singing the most melodious. God, now I’m in a fix, and please, bring me out of this predicament.
Spring like usual, started to complain, he blamed his mother for giving birth to him so he would have to get through this disaster, his father for being so hardworking on one particular night, how the construction workers couldn’t build a house with a bigger roof…
Drain however looked around, and sat at a high area and started to meditate.
Both Sponge and Spring thought that Drain was crazy and left him alone to complain and pray.
Perhaps God never heard Sponge’s prayers, and water levels rose steadily.
Sponge started to cry out: God! Why have you forsaken me? Why is it so when I was the most passionate to you. God! If you want to give up on me, then I can do nothing too. He had given up
Spring however complained even more and even faster. He blamed the construction workers for nailing wood pieces onto the roof because if not so, he could have used them as a raft. He blamed how they did not advice him to build a house taller than the Eiffel tower.
The water level rose and both Sponge and Spring was swept away.
Drain however, removed the nails on the house and made a raft. He survived the tsunami and sailed around the world selling rafts to even more mice around the world to become a millionaire saving more lifes.
That’s the end of my story. So I would just like to ask, how many of you guys like to be Sponge or Spring? How many of us are actually Drain? Let’s work towards becoming Drain and become successful at whatever we do! See you guys at the top!
